Review and GIVEAWAY: Addi-Kin Grey Designs *CLOSED*
As the mom of two little girls, I'm always on the lookout for cute girly things. I recently stumbled across a work-at-home mom who makes the most adorable accessories, onesies, t-shirts, bibs, blankets, and much more (for both girls and boys!). I jumped at the chance to review some items from her shop, Addi-Kin Grey Designs. The shop owner, Konni, is a stay-at-home mom to three girls, Addison, Kinley, and Greysen (hence the name Addi-Kin Grey). She makes headbands, clips, bows, custom onesies and tshirts, aprons, bibs, blankets...basically anything and everything sewing or craft related! Konni graciously sent me an assortment of girly accessories to review.
Included in my package was a purple kufi hat, headband with clip, black rosette clips, and pink and green headband with matching clips. Everything was so adorable! I couldn't wait to see how my girls looked in these super-cute accessories.
My 7-month-old, Clare, has worn the kufi and stretchy headband multiple times, and each time I put them on her I can't get over how cute they look! There's just something about a cute hat or flower on a little bald head that is so adorable.
The clips and headband look adorable on my 20-month-old, Maria (when she actually keeps them in that is, she loves to pull these cute accessories out of her hair!)
All of these accessories are very well-made and adorable, and Konni is a wonderful mom to work with. If there's anything you need accessory-wise, she will find a way to make it for you! So the next time you're looking for a headband for your little girl or a bowtie onesie for your little guy, be sure to check out Addi-Kin Grey Designs!

Review and GIVEAWAY: Baby Nari Hip Hugger *CLOSED*
Many toddlers are notorious for constantly wanting to be picked up, put back down, and then 30 seconds later, picked up again. Well, now there is a product that will help moms play the up-down game without killing their backs and arms. The Baby Nari Hip Hugger is a carrier that allows you carry your child without strapping him or her in, so you can put your little one back down with ease. Before I get into my review of this product, let me tell you a little about the company behind it.
About Baby Nari
Baby Nari was started by a mom who needed a way to carry older babies and children without keeping them enclosed. As her babies got older, she noticed they disliked being in enclosed carriers but still liked to to be held close to her. So while searching for an easier, more comfortable way to carry her child, she discovered the Baby Hip Hugger.
About the Baby Hip Hugger
- Comes in infant size (starting when they can sit up on their own to 10 months/22 pounds) and toddler size (10 months/22 pounds to 36 months/40 pounds)
- Supports the child's rear while evenly distributing baby's weight
- Relieves lower-back stress and maintains good posture
- Child can be inward or outward facing and carried on either the side or the front
- Child does not need to be strapped in
- Not a hands-free carrier (child's back must be supported by your hand)
My experiences with the Baby Hip Hugger
I received a toddler-sized Baby Hip Hugger to try with my 18-month-old, Maria. The Baby Hip Hugger comes in very adorable packaging, perfect for a baby shower gift or gift for a new mom.
The Baby Hip Hugger is very simple to put on, you simply strap it around your waist using the velcro to fasten it, then fasten and tighten the buckle. To get the most comfortable fit you should wear it as tightly as possible (I sucked in my stomach while I put it on to get the best fit). It seems counter-intuitive, but it actually is more comfortable the tighter it is. To use the carrier, you simply place your child on the seat and put your hand on the child's back for support (this is NOT a hands-free carrier).
The Baby Hip Hugger does exactly what it says it does! The majority of Maria's weight was supported by the carrier, and my spine was kept aligned. It was quite comfortable to carry her without her weight bearing down on my back and arms. Since she was not strapped in, I could easily put her down and pick her back up again without having to fasten and unfasten a million buckles. The downside, of course, is that this is not a hands-free carrier. A carrier like this would be most useful for outings such as trips to the zoo or walks to the park when you will not need to have both hands free and your toddler will be wanting both to walk and be carried.
Maria is a toddler that is not a fan of being carried, whether with the Baby Hip Hugger or not, so unfortunately I haven't gotten as much use out of the carrier as I would have liked. But if your toddler does like to be carried or play the up-down game, this carrier will allow you to do so easily and prevent your back and arms from getting sore. If you are looking for a way to carry your toddler without straining your arms and back, the Baby Hip Hugger is definitely for you!

The infant ($59.99) and toddler ($79.99) Baby Hip Hugger can be purchased from the Bay Nari website. Use the code "BabyNari" for $20 off!

Review and GIVEAWAY: Best Bottom Diapers *CLOSED*
One of the main reasons I decided to use cloth diapers was to save money. Thanks to cloth, I've saved hundreds of dollars that would otherwise have been spent on disposables. Granted, some cloth diapers will save you more money than others. The Best Bottom cloth diaper is one such diaper. This diaper utilizes snap-in inserts so that the cover can be reused. How cool is that! I was thrilled when Best Bottom sent me one of their diapers for review. Before I get into my review of this diaper, let me tell you a little about the Best Bottom company.
About Best Bottom
Best Bottom Diapers is a family-owned business run by a husband and wife team. Their goal is to provide high-quality products while following responsible environmental and social business practices. To promote family values, they even allow their employees to bring their small children to work with them. Very cool! When you purchase from Best Bottom, you can be sure you are supporting an environmentally conscious, family-friendly company.
About the Best Bottom diaper
- One-size shell (snap or hook-and-loop closure) fits from birth to 35+ lbs
- Three insert sizes (small, medium, and large)
- Two insert options: Stay Dry Insert (4 layers of microfiber topped with fleece) or Hemp/Organic Cotton Insert (5 layers of hemp/organic cotton topped with hemp/organic cotton fleece)
- Overnight and Doubler inserts allow you to use two inserts at once! (A regular insert snaps onto the Overnight/Doubler)
- Very cost-effective. 8 shells ($16.45 each) and 24 inserts in 3 sizes ($3.76 each) allow you to cloth diaper from birth to potty-training for $401.78!
My experiences with the Best Bottom diaper
I was sent a Best Bottom shell in mint chocolate chip (hook-and-loop closure) and three size medium Stay Dry inserts for review. I absolutely love the color of this diaper! The sage and brown look great together. Many of their diaper colors are ice cream inspired (orange sherbet, strawberry shortcake, cookies n cream, etc.) and are simply adorable!
Love the color!
My 17-month-old is about 22 pounds and wears the shell snapped down to the top row of rise snaps along with the size medium insert. The diaper fits fantastically on her, nice and snug around both the waist and the legs. The shell has double leg gussets, which do a fantastic job keeping in messes. But my favorite feature of this diaper? The hook-and-loop closure. The Best Bottom Diaper has by far the highest quality hook-and-loop closure I've ever seen. I have to use all my strength to unfasten it (and that's a good thing!). Even the most determined toddler would have a heck of a time unfastening this diaper. The hook-and-loop holds up fantastically in the wash too. After multiple washes, it still looks good as new. Very impressive!
Great fit around the waist
Nice and snug around the leg
Action shot. That hook-and-loop closure is toddler-proof!
I love how the insert system of this diaper works. As long as the shell isn't soiled, you simply take out the wet insert and snap in a new one. Easy-peasy! The snap-in system keeps the insert in place so it doesn't slide all over as your baby moves. The inserts are super absorbent and wash up very nicely, no pilling of the fleece at all. Since the inserts are sized, they are guaranteed to fit in the shell perfectly. With a one-size shell and very affordable inserts, the Best Bottom diaper system is an extremely cost-effective way to cloth diaper!
Insert snaps easily into the shell
Snapped together and ready to use
Overall, the Best Bottom diaper is extremely high-quality, very absorbent, washes well, and is very affordable. This diaper comes in fun colors and prints and is an excellent option for birth to potty training. I would highly recommend the Best Bottom diaper!
Buy it!
The Best Bottom diapering system can be purchased at various retailers. The one-size shell retails for $16.95, and the inserts start at $3.95 (quantity discounts are available when you purchase multiple shells/inserts).
Win it!
